Sales Tax
Brød & Taylor Canada is required by law to charge applicable federal and provincial sales tax(es) on all products. The goods and services tax (GST) is a federal tax paid on most goods and services purchased in Canada. In some provinces, the GST has been combined with provincial sales tax to create the harmonized sales tax (HST). Some provinces apply provincial sales tax to the purchases you make. The items that are taxed and the tax rate vary from province to province.
The amount of tax(es) is based on the destination of your order; some provinces collect PST plus GST (British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec, and Saskatchewan), some collect GST only (Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon), and some collect HST only (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island). The applicable tax or taxes will be calculated and applied to your order at the time of checkout.
